Sawatha Bitan was inaugurated on 30th October 2006 by the
Hon'ble Speaker of the Loksabha Mr. Somenath Chatterjee in
the presence of other eminent dignitaries. Swastha Bitan,
the satellite wing of Peerless Hospital has successfully
engraved a name in the health horizon of Bolpur,
Sriniketan, Shantiniketan and Prantik.
Primarily, our vision to provide quality healthcare and
diagnostic facilities to the people of BirBhum and offer
tertiary care services through Peerless Hospital & B.K.Roy
Research Centre at Kolkata.
The Peerless Hospital SWASTHA BITAN consist of doctor's
chambers, facility for day care treatment ( including day
care chemotherapy ) physiotherapy, dental and also
facility for Cardiological investigation like ECG, Echo
Colour Doppler and Holter monitoring, a pathological
laboratory and imaging ( X-ray and USG).
Swastha Bitan also have facility for audio visual
conferencing connecting specialist doctors at Peerless
Hospital, Kolkata so that specialized medical advice can
be provided to the patients.
As an introductory offer and on the occasion of the
Platinum Jubilee year of the Peerless Group we are happy
to announce a special health package for the senior
citizens of the area.
General Clinics:
The facilities are adding up gradually and the set-up is
gaining ground through a path of consolidation during the
past few months. Presently, a senior experienced Madical
Officer is available on whole time basis to examine daily
patients visiting the centre. Doctor is also available in
the night on, on-call basis, to attend the emergencies.
Special Clinics and Camps
We have started our Special Clinics on Sundays - attended
exclusively by the senior and reputed consultants from the
Hospital. The management of NNC has knidly agreed to send
specialists in Neurology and Neurosurgery at least once in
a month.
Service at the doorstep
Considering the constraints of distance from the heart of
Bolpur, the centre has evolved a system to reach the
customer at their doorsteps,instead of expecting the
customers to visit the centres for reasons where their
presence is not needed. Collection of samples and delivery
of reports at door steps have already been started through
rider. Physiotherapy can also be delivered to the patients
at home by prior appointment. ECG is done at home on call
basis.
Our Future
The centre is planning to provide an exclusive "one-stop"
service to the people of Bolpur and its surroundings. In
the second phase we are planning to add facilities like
imaging and radiology. After consolidating the initial
launching phase, the centre will go for an installation of
CT Scan, without which the centre will not thrive.
