GUIDELINE FOR PATIENTS’ RELATIVES


ADMISSION

The Emergency Medical Officers admit patients as advised by the concerned Consultants. An "Admission Consent Form " has to be filled in at the admission counter. An advance amount has to be deposited at the time of admission which will be intimated to you by the Admission Counter. Patient can be admitted round the clock on all 365 days.

BED CATEGORY
To meet the requirements of the patients asking for various facilities, the
hospital has provisions for the following bed categories to choose from.

Super Deluxe Cabin Deluxe Cabin
Single bed A.C.Cabin Double bed A.C.Cabins

Single bed Non A.C.Cabins

Double bed Non A.C.Cabins
Double bed AC Maternity Word 6 Bed Non AC General Word

Depending on the severity of illness and necessity of intensive care treatment, patients may be shifted to Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU) or Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU) ,Neonatal Intensive Therapy Unit (NITU) or Gastro
step down unit. This is done on the advice of attending Physician/EMO/
Hospital authority. Charges for these units are not identical to cabin charges. Relatives are requested to get in touch with the Public Relations Officers for detailed information.

VISITORS

Only two visitors are allowed for each patient. Two visitors' card will be given
to you from the admission counter at the time of admission of the patient.
Please help us restrict the number of visitors ( 2 at a time ) in order to reduce noise, disturbance and chances of further infection for the patient.


VISITING HOURS

10:30 AM to 11:30 AM & 4:00PM to 6:00 PM
Children bellow 12 years are allowed only sundays and Holidays, between 4:00
PM to 6:00 PM.
For patients admitted in ITU / ICCU , visitors are not allowed to go inside.
However , they can meet Medical Officers on duty everyday from 5:00 pm
to 6:00 pm

BED TRANSFER

Subject to the availability of bed, transfer to different category of bed may be allowed, for which, specific application is to be made to the Public Relation Officer. Transfer to General Ward from any other higher categories is not entertained. In case your patient is shifted to any bed in Intensive Care Unit , you will not be allowed to retain the previous bed . The previous bed will immediately be released and will be allotted to another patient.

MEDICINE DURING HOSPITALISATION

Medicine required for patients are prescribed by the doctors and are supplied directly to the words from the Hospital Pharmacy, which is open round the
clock. This system minimizes your waiting time standing a long queues.

 

VISITORS

ADMISSION REGULATIONS

(a)     An advance payment is required to be made at the time of admission which is adjusted against the final bill.

(b)     For package deals, the full amount is required to be deposited as advance.  

 

ATTENDING DOCTORS and PROGRESSIVE RECOVERY of PATIENT ~

For all your queries about the present status and approximate period for recovery of patient, please consult the concerned Consultant or the attending doctors.

For patients requiring surgical operations please contact  PRO who will advise on the probable charges and advance to be deposited. All estimates for treatment should be obtained from PRO.

DISCHARGE
  

Patients are discharged between 12 noon & 2 pm. On full and final settlement of bills.

SETTLEMENT of BILLS

·          At the time of discharge, you will get fully computerized bills giving day
     wise details of charges and costs incurred for the treatment.

·          Please enquire about patient's interim bill amount from the billing counter between 5:00pm and 6:00pm everyday and cover it up by payment in advance.

·          Payments can be made cash/demand draft / credit cards.

·          No surcharge is levied over bed charges.

·          No service charge is levied on transactions made through credit cards.

·          The bed charge will have to be paid in full even if the patient is admitted
in the hospital for less then 24 hours ( Minimum 2 hours )

·          During the treatment period , if the patient is shifted to a bed of higher category from a lower category or vice versa, all charges for investigation , Opertions, charges etc. will charged at per with the higher category.

·          An amount of Rs. 3000 as caution money has to be deposited at the time of discharge of the patient , which will be adjusted on the following day, if the patient party wishes to discharge the patient at their own risk.

·          The bed charge will remain same irrespective of whether   food is taken
from hospital or not.

·          The patient party has to make full payment before commencement of
"package treatment "
 . 50% payment has to be made prior to the day
of surgery if any operation is suggested for the patient.

·          The charges of the Peerless Hospital are fixed and reasonable to meet the requirements of people from all walks of life, therefore there remains no
scope for any concession.
