Our Department of
Emergency Medicine located on the ground floor - handles
patients requiring immediate attention. It has the
infrastructure to treat emergencies – in children as well as
adults reporting with the most complicated illness & serious
injuries. The service is supported by a well coordinated
road evacuation facility.
The unit has a well equipped treatment room with two
operation tables; in addition to other facilities like a
plaster and isolation rooms. Besides it has portable x-ray
machines, ventilators, cardiac monitors & patients can be
transferred to ICCU/ITU or to any Operation Theatre without loss of
time.
Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The service is led by Dr. Indraneel Dasgupta, Clinical
Director, Department of Emergency Medicine & he is supported
by highly trained and professionally qualified team of
Consultants, medical officers and nurses.
